Life Is Too Short…
How would you finish that sentence? Here are some responses I found:
“The only rule is don’t be boring and dress cute wherever you go. Life is too short to blend in.” Paris Hilton
“Life is too short to live on low-fat everything.” Actress Kristin Scott Thomas
“Life is too short to stuff a mushroom.” Novelist Shirley Conran
This past weekend I was trying out a new program that had promised to improve my productivity. It didn’t. All it did was send error messages or send out emails that were not what I wanted to say. If you received any of these emails, I’m sorry. But here’s what I did learn: worry is a dead end. It accomplishes nothing. I came to the conclusion that life is too short to let the road blocks, detours, and glitches in the system paralyze me. Worry won’t fix anything
Baseball player, Eric Davis said this: “Life is too short to worry about anything. You had better enjoy it because the next day promises nothing.”
That is very close to what Jesus taught:
“So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Matthew 6:34
If you don’t get this email, I won’t worry. I promise.
Made me laugh and trying not to worry.
If you ever write a blog about New Year’s resolutions, you could add this one: ‘My resolution every year is to burn more candles.’ Julie King
I love Matthew 6:34. I live by it. And love life
